CalApp

A local-first iOS lifestyle and food-awareness app. Photograph a meal and CalApp estimates its calories and ingredients, tracks your history, and offers daily guidance shaped by how you actually eat.

Where your data lives

Meal history, profile settings and photos are stored only inside the iOS app sandbox.
There is no CalApp backend and no server-side database. This page stores nothing.
Deleting CalApp removes its sandbox, and every meal record and photo with it.
Provider API keys are held in the device Keychain, and cleared when CalApp detects a fresh install.

How analysis works

Photos are sent directly from your device to the first provider you have configured.
Providers are tried in order — Kimi, then OpenAI, then Claude — advancing if a request fails.
Analysis runs in the background, with the checking status visible while it works.

CalApp is distributed through the App Store. This address exists so the app has a home on the web — it is not an API endpoint, and no part of the app depends on it.
